I am Don Giannatti and I am a photographer as well as a designer, and I have been building websites for photographers for 20+ years. I also write books about photography, and keep an online zine called Lighting Essentials. Links later, this is a simple introduction.
I love WordPress. I really do.
It has become my defacto CMS (Content Management Solution), and design platform for photographers. I am not a flash guy… spinning logos and such were boring on Powerpoint, and they aren’t much more interesting today.
I embrace CSS3, HTML5, JQuery and Javascript and we get it all done with the tools that are web-centric. And that is really important.
I maintain a fair and open site. Some of these are affiliate sites and I derive some income from your purchase (paid by the seller, so no hit to your funds). However, I will NEVER feature a site here that I do not think would be a great match for you or your business – no matter what the affiliate offering is. I will also feature free themes when they are appropriate.
And if I review anything, it is because I like it. If I do not like a product, or a service or a plugin, I don’t write about it. Period. Way too much crap out there to actually focus on it, so I don’t.
